Delivery Driver - Albuquerque, NM

MUST HAVE VALID COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSE (CDL), CURRENT MEDICAL CERTIFICATION, AND A GED/HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA. STARTING PAY:$18/hr SHIFT:Driving Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, flexible depending on route SUMMARY: The Delivery Driver is responsible for making daily deliveries and providing exceptional customer service. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly responsible for the accurate delivery, including the assistance of off-loading product by hand if necessary, to customers in the following general locations: CO Region, Flagstaff AZ, Santa Fe & Albuquerque, and NM Region. Daily contact with customers and the public requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards. Maintain accurate logbooks and abide by all federal, state and local safety regulations Coupling and uncoupling trailers from the tractor Plan route to insure most economical use of time and equipment Assist in general upkeep / maintenance of vehicles and trailers Other duties as assigned by supervisor QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and safely. Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving Ability to safely drive commercial delivery vehicles and proficiency with 28, 48, and 53 and Bobtail 24 & 26. Safety Glasses and closed toe/closed heel shoes in the production and warehouse areas are required. Due to the nature of this position, on-site attendance is mandatory.
