Jackson County Employment Opportunity! Jackson County’s Health & Human Services Department is hiring for an experienced Accounting Supervisor. This position is responsible for the management of the department’s financial functions and accounting team to ensure revenue and expenditures meet all applicable rules and regulations. This includes supervising a team of six employees, management over medical billing, provider credentialing and insurance enrollment; oversee animal licensing and representation of department on various committees and groups. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Must obtain Deputy Registrar certification to oversee the Jackson County Vital Records Department.Must be able to manage staff respectfully and in a fair and consistent manner as well as motivate and evaluate employee performance.Must have the ability to learn County financial systems.Have excellent oral and written communication skillsHave the ability to explain policies and procedures, and work well with other employees, agencies and contractors.Submit transcripts, if using college education to meet educational minimum requirements.Pass a criminal background check prior to hire.
