Bicycle Race Referee

We are recruiting bicycle race referees for the 2025 season!Summary:USA Cycling Referee Officials are responsible for ensuring the safety and fairness of competitive bicycle events in the Northern California Nevada region (NCNCA). Referees work a variety of events, including road races, criteriums, time trials, track/velodrome, cyclocross, and mountain bike races.Responsibilities:Enforce the rules of cycling competitionEnsure the safety of all participants and spectatorsMake decisions and judgments in a timely and fair mannerWork cooperatively with other referees and event staffProvide a positive and professional experience for all participantsQualifications:Passion for cyclingKnowledge of cycling rules and regulationsAbility to think quickly and make sound decisionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAvailability to work weekendsBenefits:Modest daily rateOvertime pay if requiredMileage reimbursement.
