Bicycle Race Referee
We are recruiting bicycle race referees for the 2025 season!Summary:USA Cycling Referee Officials are responsible for ensuring the safety and fairness of competitive bicycle events in the Northern California Nevada region (NCNCA). Referees work a variety of events, including road races, criteriums, time trials, track/velodrome, cyclocross, and mountain bike races.Responsibilities:Enforce the rules of cycling competitionEnsure the safety of all participants and spectatorsMake decisions and judgments in a timely and fair mannerWork cooperatively with other referees and event staffProvide a positive and professional experience for all participantsQualifications:Passion for cyclingKnowledge of cycling rules and regulationsAbility to think quickly and make sound decisionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAvailability to work weekendsBenefits:Modest daily rateOvertime pay if requiredMileage reimbursement. Traveling required.Hotel room(s) for officials coming from a distanceAbout the NCNCA:The Northern California Nevada Cycling Association (NCNCA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and development of competitive cycling in Northern California and Nevada. Through it's member clubs, NCNCA hosts a variety of cycling events and provides a variety of educational and training programs for cyclists of all ages and abilities.The NCNCA is committed to providing a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for all cyclists. The NCNCA is a member of USA Cycling, the national governing body for cycling in the United States.
