With two EHRs and platform-level solutions such as communication platforms and a clearinghouse, EverHealth delivers a turn-key, end-to-end solution for the software needs of a modern healthcare practice.Our open ecosystem of solutions helps providers:Engage patients more effectivelyIncrease revenue and collectionsImprove operational efficiencyDeliver better patient careToday, 72,000+ healthcare practices rely on EverHealth solutions.The RoleWe are seeking a Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering to join the EverHealth Platform Engineering team, reporting to the Head of Platform Engineering.In this role, you will lead and develop the Cloud Engineering function responsible for AWS infrastructure, cloud architecture standards, infrastructure-as-code strategy, cloud security implementation, cloud cost optimization, account and environment standards, cloud automation, reusable infrastructure patterns, and cloud operational risk reduction across EverHealth.You will manage a team of Cloud Engineers in a hands-on management role. You will lead the team, prioritize the backlog, coach engineers, manage performance, establish operating cadence, and stay directly involved in cloud architecture decisions, infrastructure delivery, platform modernization, technical escalations, and operational improvements.You will partner closely with SRE, Product Engineering, Delivery Engineering, Enablement Engineering, Security, Compliance, and business and product stakeholders. Cloud Engineering owns AWS platform and infrastructure standards, and serves as an escalation point for cloud infrastructure issues when SRE cannot resolve the issue and the root cause is within cloud infrastructure.Role ResponsibilitiesLead the EverHealth Cloud Engineering team responsible for AWS infrastructure, cloud platform standards, cloud cost management, and infrastructure-as-code maturityPrioritize Cloud Engineering work during sprint planning in partnership with the Scrum MasterManage, coach, develop, and performance-manage Cloud Engineering team membersEnsure technical alignment with the Principal Cloud Platform EngineerOwn AWS account structure, landing zones, networking, IAM standards, and environment provisioning practicesOwn Terraform strategy, reusable infrastructure patterns, IaC standards, and review practicesBuild and mature cloud architecture standards across the EverHealth product portfolioSupport AWS services and environments including VPC, IAM, EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, load balancers, networking, backup/DR, Windows/Linux workloads, and related servicesLead and contribute hands-on to cloud infrastructure design and implementation using Terraform, Ansible, Spacelift, GitHub, and related toolingDrive cloud cost optimization analysis and recommendations in partnership with Product EngineeringIdentify opportunities to improve utilization, reduce waste, and align cloud/infrastructure spend with business needsReduce cloud operational risk through better standards, automation, documentation, reusable patterns, and repeatable practicesImplement cloud security standards defined by Security, while helping guide cloud security architecture where infrastructure design decisions create risk or require platform-level judgmentLead cloud modernization efforts across EverHealth products, including legacy infrastructure reduction, data center migration, AWS environment modernization, and product-specific cloud improvementsHelp mature container and Kubernetes platform practices in partnership with Product EngineeringEnsure Cloud Engineering serves as a senior escalation point for cloud infrastructure issues when SRE cannot resolve the issue and the root cause is within AWS or related infrastructure servicesUse CloudWatch, Grafana, New Relic, Sentry, OpsGenie/Jira Service Management Operations, and related observability or operational tools to support cloud infrastructure troubleshooting and production visibilityPartner with Product Engineering on architecture reviews, environment buildouts, implementation support, modernization planning, and cloud infrastructure escalationsPartner with SRE on AWS infrastructure reliability, production readiness, operational resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity practicesPartner with Delivery Engineering and Enablement Engineering on cloud deployment processes, CI/CD infrastructure, shared services, release support, and environment standardsPartner with the Program Manager, Technical Project Manager, and Scrum Master to collect and share cloud health, cloud cost, operational risk, modernization progress, and project health for Cloud Engineering-supported workPartner with Security and Compliance on IAM, encryption, network controls, logging, auditability, HIPAA infrastructure controls, and secure cloud operationsEstablish and mature Cloud Engineering operating cadence, including architecture reviews, backlog reviews, cost reviews, security reviews, operational risk reviews, and standards reviewsChallenge product teams The annual base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $175,000 USD per year. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the U.S. and Canada.
