Fort Worth, TXDescription:Job Title: Engineering Technician IFLSA Status: Non-ExemptDepartment: Engineering / ManufacturingReports To: Engineering ManagerLocation: CIA&DPosition SummaryThe Engineering Technician I supports Engineering and Manufacturing by interpreting schematics, wire lists, and customer requirements; creating and maintaining production documentation; and assisting with build support activities to ensure products are manufactured accurately and efficiently.Essential FunctionsReview, interpret, and apply customer specifications, drawings, and requirements to support production builds.Create, update, and control engineering documentation (e.g., schematics, wire lists, and related build documentation) to support manufacturing.Develop and maintain shop work instructions and Manufacturing Process Sheets (MPS) in accordance with internal standards.Participate in peer reviews; incorporate feedback; and document approvals/changes to ensure accuracy and traceability.Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and qualification activities by preparing documentation and responding to questions/findings.Perform or support electrical/mechanical assembly tasks as assigned, following work instructions, quality requirements, and safety procedures.Serve as a liaison between Engineering and Operations to resolve build questions, interpret product requirements, and support on-time execution.Provide day-to-day technical support to cross-functional teams by clarifying engineering intent, documenting dispositions, and escalating issues as needed.Required QualificationsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.Ability to interpret customer requirements and applicable build standards.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic document control practices.Working knowledge of assembly practices, manufacturing processes, and common hand tools.Familiarity with military and commercial specifications (as applicable to aerospace/defense manufacturing).Effective technical writing and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 requirements (or ability to obtain and maintain certification as required).Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and other cross-functional teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting military aviation programs and/or aerospace manufacturing.Electrical troubleshooting experience in an assembly/manufacturing environment.Education and Experience1-2 years of hands-on experience in electrical assembly operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.PM19CIA&D offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, 401(k) with discretionary matchCIA&D division of kSARIA is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disabilities/VeteransRequirements:PI42ae3ac2ecfd-26289-40430408
