Field Service Engineer

Ascent Aerospace is looking for a driven, technically skilled individual ready to step into a Technical Representative position with a path to a Site Manager for one of our key customers. This is far more than just a field service role—it's a unique opportunity to grow into a leadership position while representing cutting-edge automation technology. You'll become the on-site expert, directly supporting customer maintenance teams and indirectly leading them through your expertise. Work alongside project managers and sales staff, bridging the gap between engineering, operations, and customer support.
Duties
Diagnose and repair complex industrial control systems, including, but not limited to: PLCs, CNC controllers, field bus networks, and drive systems
Read and interpret electrical schematics and use multi-meter to diagnose electrical circuits
Coordinates and interfaces directly with customers, suppliers, and other entities to ensure that all customer requirements, goals and objectives are fully understood and communicated to senior management
Travel to customer sites to perform new machine commissioning, planned preventive maintenance, machine controls upgrades, and emergency service
Perform maintenance and operator training for customers
Follow policy and procedures including safe working practices
Any additional duties assigned by management.
Experience
BS in Electrical / Electro-Mechanical Engineering, OR Technical Certificate and 3+ years of experience within the industrial automation industry or equivalent experience
Able to lift up to 50lbs
Able to work at the company or customer facilities, in excess of eight hours per day or 40 hours per week on a second shift and/or weekends if necessary
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience demonstrating problem solving abilities and resourcefulness
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $48.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
