Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerJob DescriptionJoin a dedicated team in Bloomfield, CT, as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing engineering programs that align with business standards and product requirements.Responsibilities+ Design, develop, analyze, and document product designs that fulfill functional, cost, reliability, manufacturability, and safety requirements.+ Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all design work, including tolerance loops, drawings, bills of materials, and risk management analyses.+ Utilize solid modeling software such as PTC Creo and Windchill to execute designs and create models, assemblies, detailed drawings, and BOMs.+ Lead and support new product introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring a seamless transition from design to production.+ Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned tasks, adhering to engineering policies and procedures.Essential Skills+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering and technical design.+ Proficiency in mechanical design, including 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation in PTC Creo or similar CAD tools.+ Experience with Sheet Metal design for enclosures or busbar systems using PTC Creo and Windchill PLM systems.+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze technical issues and implement effective solutions.+ Self-motivated and proactive, capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks with minimal supervision.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Experience in systems analysis and understanding of bill of material processes.+ Thrives in a team-first culture with a focus on knowledge-sharing and collective problem-solving.Work EnvironmentThis is a hybrid work environment, requiring onsite presence for the first 1-2 months with the option for 1-2 days of remote work per week.
