QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - LDRP Education: Graduate of a school of nursing. BSN or MSN preferred.Experience: One (1) year RN experience and/or successful completion of The William W. Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program. Two (2) or more years experience in this specific clinical area preferred.License and Certification:Current unrestricted License in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire. Ability to obtain and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 90 days of hire. Completion of basic fetal monitoring class by the end of orientation. Electronic Fetal Monitoring National certification (NCC) within two (2) years of hire. Ability to obtain and maintain department specific certifications. Registered Nurse Core Certification (RNC or RN-BC) preferred.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - NICU Education: Graduate of a school of nursing. BSN or MSN preferred.Experience: One (1) year RN experience and/or successful completion of The William W. Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program. Two (2) or more years experience in this specific clinical area preferred.License and CertificationCurrent unrestricted License in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire. Ability to obtain and maintain Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 60 days of hire. Ability to obtain and maintain department specific certifications.
