Hematology/Oncology Faculty Position at University Medical CenterWe are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity to join the new Cancer Center, a collaboration between the health system and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center as a Hematology/Oncology faculty member. This state-of-the-art center, opening in 2026, will be at the forefront of cancer care and research. The new center will be 123,000 square feet and is a $100M investment in world-class cancer care. This faculty position is for a full-time, board-certified Hematologist/Oncologist. Together, these two prestigious institutions are creating a comprehensive and cutting-edge cancer care network across the region.Position Highlights:• Competitive Salary with a generous sign-on bonus and options for both clinical and academic tracks, including wRVU-based incentive bonuses.• Full state benefits for faculty members, including healthcare, retirement plans, and generous PTO.• Specialization Opportunities in disease-specific areas such as Breast, Lung, GI, or Colorectal cancers.• Comprehensive Support includes dedicated PET/CT and MRI in the new center, disease-specific tumor boards, physician extenders, nurse navigators, social workers, dietitians, and a symptom management clinic.Clinical and Academic Tracks:• Clinical Oncologists: Four clinical days or eight half-days per week, seeing 11-13 patients per half-day, with a full administrative day built into the schedule.• Academic Oncologists: 3-6 half-days of clinical care, with 10-12 patients per half-day and protected academic time for research, teaching, and collaboration.• Teaching Opportunities include training fellows, delivering lectures, and collaborating with residents • Research Involvement includes opportunities to participate in phase I-III clinical trials, cancer biobanking, and cutting-edge developmental therapeutics through the Texas Regional Excellence in Cancer Developmental Therapeutics Center.Many referral options from large multi-specialty system, Health System and University Health Sciences CenterAbout the Community:Beware!
