IR Technologist
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiology and anatomy, with expertise in medical imaging techniques. As a Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic evaluations, contributing to patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Duties
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including mammography, CT scans, and other radiological assessments.
Collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate diagnostic evaluations and appropriate imaging techniques are utilized.
Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology to assist in the interpretation of images.
Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols to ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Participate in the management of imaging equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and efficiently.
Work effectively within a Level II trauma center environment, providing support in emergency medicine situations as needed.
Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology practices and technologies.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to medical imaging.
Proficiency in various imaging modalities, including mammography and CT.
Experience or familiarity with diagnostic radiology practices.
Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations accurately and efficiently.
Previous experience working in a Level II trauma center or emergency medicine setting is preferred.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals and patients.
