Data Scientist

Payrate: $88.00- $92.00/hr. Summary:Apply advanced analytics, experimentation, and predictive modeling to optimize monetization across Minecraft's three revenue pillars: Realms subscriptions, Marketplace content sales, and Creator on Demand. This role will build LTV models, analyze cross-product spending behavior, design and read out A/B tests on pricing and UX changes, and surface insights that drive revenue growth while protecting player experience. The ideal candidate has strong statistical foundations, fluency in Python and SQL on Databricks, and experience modeling user spending behavior in games or subscription products. Responsibilities:Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategiesWrite and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptionsDesign, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processesModify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changesTest programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required8-10 years applicable experience requiredExperience with database technologiesKnowledge of the ETL processKnowledge of at least one scripting languageStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated history of successDesire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions Must Have Skills & years of experience:    Python/Databricks (4+ years)presentation and communication (5+ years)attribution and causal inference (4+ years) Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $88.00- $92.00/hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
