NextMod is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented *Project Coordinator* to support the successful delivery of modular building projects from contract award through manufacturing, delivery, installation, closeout, and post-project service.
As a key member of NextMod’s *Project Management Department, led by the Director of Operations*, the Project Coordinator works closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to keep project schedules, documentation, procurement, vendors, RFIs, logistics, quality records, client communication, and outstanding actions organized and moving forward.
This is more than an administrative support position. The Project Coordinator plays an active role throughout the project lifecycle, connecting NextMod’s project management, design, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, field, vendor, and client teams.

From our *Riverside and Perris, California manufacturing facilities*, we design, engineer, manufacture, deliver, install, commission, and support *100% American-made modular buildings*.
Our single-story and multi-story facilities are available as temporary or permanent structures through both *purchase and lease programs*. We support projects across education, government, military, airports, healthcare, construction, disaster response, and other public and institutional markets.

*Position Summary*
The Project Coordinator supports the *planning, coordination, documentation, and execution of NextMod modular building projects throughout the complete project lifecycle*, from contract award and project setup through manufacturing, delivery, installation, closeout, warranty, and service.
Operating within the *Project Management Department under the overall leadership of the Director of Operations*, the Project Coordinator works closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to maintain accurate project information, coordinate schedules and action items, manage document control, track RFIs and changes, support procurement and vendor compliance, monitor manufacturing and logistics activities, and coordinate project communication.
The role serves as a central communication link among clients, architects, designers, engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, manufacturing teams, transportation providers, field personnel, and internal departments.
Success in this position requires exceptional organization, attention to detail, follow-through, professional communication, and the ability to identify and escalate issues before they affect project schedule, cost, quality, production, or delivery.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* Support Project Managers throughout the full project lifecycle, from contract award and project setup through manufacturing, delivery, installation, closeout, warranty, and service.
* Establish and maintain project files, schedules, registers, contact lists, meeting records, trackers, correspondence, and document-control systems.
* Track project milestones, deadlines, approvals, inspections, deliveries, action items, decisions, risks, changes, and outstanding requirements.
* Coordinate project information across *design, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, installation, commercial, and field teams*.
* Organize and support project coordination meetings, including agendas, meeting minutes, action-item tracking, follow-up, and escalation of overdue items.
* Maintain *RFI, submittal, risk, issue, and change logs*, tracking responsible parties, due dates, responses, distribution, and items that could affect cost, schedule, design, production, quality, or delivery.
* Request and coordinate *vendor and subcontractor proposals and quotations*, review submissions for completeness and scope alignment, track internal approvals, and support purchase-order issuance and follow-through.
* Maintain vendor and subcontractor *prequalification and compliance records*, including insurance, licenses, registrations, certifications, DIR requirements, expiration dates, and other required documentation.
* Track purchase orders, vendor commitments, material availability, long-lead items, supplier deliveries, and procurement activities through delivery or completion.
* Coordinate with manufacturing and project teams to track production schedules and the status of modules, components, finishes, fixtures, equipment, and project requirements.
* Support transportation and installation coordination, including delivery schedules, site access, lifting requirements, staging, documentation, and other project logistics.
* Maintain and distribute approved drawings, specifications, schedules, reports, RFIs, revisions, and other controlled project information.
* Support *quality and compliance documentation*, including inspection reports, test certificates, warranties, certifications, nonconformances, corrective actions, deficiencies, and punch-list items.
* Coordinate punch walks and track deficiencies, responsible parties, target completion dates, corrective work, final inspections, and closeout requirements.
* Support routine *client and stakeholder communication*, ensuring inquiries, requests, project updates, delays, decisions, and required actions are accurately documented and routed to the appropriate team members.
* Coordinate and track service and warranty requests from initial notification through scheduling, completion, documentation, client follow-up, and escalation when required.
* Maintain project financial and commercial trackers, including purchase orders, invoices, commitments, variations, approved and pending changes, and other project cost information.
* Prepare regular project status information covering schedule, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, quality, risks, changes, costs, and outstanding actions.
* Identify and promptly escalate issues that may affect *project schedule, cost, profitability, quality, safety, production, compliance, client commitments, or delivery*.
* Support project closeout by coordinating final documentation, warranties, operating manuals, certifications, inspection records, as-builts, punch-list completion, handover requirements, and project records.
* Identify opportunities to improve project coordination, document control, reporting, vendor management, communication, and overall project predictability.

This position is primarily based at NextMod’s *Perris office and manufacturing facility at 18966 Seaton Ave, Perris, CA 92570*.
This is primarily an *office-based position with regular facility and project coordination responsibilities* and is not a remote role.
The Project Coordinator may visit NextMod’s Riverside operations, active project sites, supplier facilities, installation locations, and other project-related locations as required.
Occasional travel throughout California may be required for project coordination, manufacturing activities, deliveries, installations, inspections, punch walks, closeout, service, or other project requirements.
*Required Qualifications*
* Diploma or degree in *Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered*.
* *2+ years of experience* in project coordination, construction, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, or a related industry.
* Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders simultaneously.
* Strong organizational, time-management, documentation, and follow-through skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
* Working knowledge of project schedules, purchase orders, project documentation, document control, and action-item tracking.
* Ability to read, organize, distribute, and maintain construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and other controlled project information.
* Proficiency with *Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams*.
* Ability to learn and effectively use project management, document-control, and enterprise software.
* Strong practical problem-solving skills and the ability to identify risks, establish follow-up, and escalate issues appropriately.
* Ability to communicate professionally with clients, vendors, subcontractors, technical teams, manufacturing personnel, and internal leadership.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines in a fast-paced construction and manufacturing environment.
* Willingness and ability to visit manufacturing facilities and active project sites when required.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Experience in *construction, modular construction, off-site manufacturing, or building manufacturing*.
* Experience supporting Project Managers, Superintendents, construction teams, or manufacturing operations.
* Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, procurement, and document control.
* Experience coordinating vendors, subcontractors, supplier proposals, and purchase orders.
* Familiarity with vendor prequalification, certificates of insurance, contractor licensing, DIR registration, and compliance documentation.
* Experience coordinating manufacturing schedules, material procurement, transportation, deliveries, installation, or construction logistics.
* Experience maintaining project cost, invoice, commitment, or change trackers.
* Experience with quality documentation, inspections, punch lists, project closeout, warranty, or service coordination.
* Experience using project management, construction management, document-control, or ERP software.
Compensation and Benefits
