Reviews and appropriately disseminates labs based on acuity.Reviews and appropriately responds to patient messages, in collaboration withclinician(s).* Recognizes emergency situations and acts appropriately. Utilizes the HRO safety principles.* Reports all injuries (patient or staff) using event reporting system.* Demonstrates knowledge of medication and vaccine administration according topolicy, carries out physician orders in an accurate and timely manner. Monitors effectsof medications and reports adverse effects in a timely manner.* Demonstrates knowledge of policies and procedures, including but not limited toknowledge and skill of emergency equipment and procedures. Identifies and reportsall risk management issues in a timely manner.* Responsible for phone management of patients. Triages phone calls utilizing criticalthinking and assessment skills to evaluate the chief complaint and urgency of theproblem. Triages phone calls to determine acuity to assist in scheduling appointments.Provides comprehensive medical record documentation. Documents allcommunications and maintains patient confidentiality.* Participates in and/or organizes regular practice huddles, communicates effectivelywith team members and physicians; actively listens and seeks feedback. C ollaborateswith team members to solve problems and resolve conflicts. Functions as aresource/mentor and provides support to team members to resolve patient care andteam concerns/issues.* Utilizes standard precautions including, appropriate isolation techniques. C onsistentlyfollows the Ambulatory Health C are National Patient Safety Goals.* Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborates with all members of thehealth care team with a focus on promoting evidence-based care within a healingculture for the patient population served and their families.* Demonstrates knowledge of documentation guidelines. Documents patient'sresponse to the ordered treatment protocol. Reports changes in a patient condition tothe clinician immediately. C onsistently collects and completes all requireddocumentation. Verifies accuracy of order entry and transcription. Maintainscompetency in use of all needed information systems.
