We succeed as a team by embracing integrity, mutual respect, innovation, service, sustainability, and financial strength.Position OverviewAn Asphalt Plant Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all mechanical equipment within the plant. The selected candidate will be required to work in a team environment with other co-workers and managers.Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.Report any problems to your manager.Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project.Repair all components involved ready Mix processing equipment.Maintain and operate field service truck.Follow proper lockout / tag out procedures.Work on projects with company maintenance crew and contractors.Provide basic tools for welding and fabrication/hand tools for millwright work.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.Mathematical Skills:* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Reasoning Ability:* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
