Team members work closely with a patient's physician to provide comprehensive, individualized care in the comfort of their home or at our inpatient hospice facility in Durham, NC.Job SummaryIn alignment with the goals and policies of Duke HomeCare & Hospice, the Program Manager provides direction for assigned programs and activities specific to DHCH strategic Marketing and Communications plans.Major Job ResponsibilitiesCoordinates and participates in strategic planning and operational meetings as appropriate with DHCH leadership and appropriate staff to determine specific objectives of the programs. Also works with DHCH Business Development team and DHCH leadership to identify internal and external resources available to meet those objectives.Develops, presents, and implements marketing and business plans to support the successful attainment of organizational service goals.Actively contributes to the project management activities for assigned projects, and holds responsibility and accountability for managing assigned work contributing to the success of the project.Defines scope of work requirements for new projects and at times will be assigned to lead work within an ongoing project.Executes marketing activity through a variety of activities (Examples: direct visits, direct mail, email campaigns, health fairs, and other industry events).Conducts and manages marketing activity in assigned territories and accounts. Educates and assists referral sources with referral processing.Responsible for the achievement of department, service line/and organizational growth goals.Delivery of all marketing activity within agreed budget.Analyzes, resolves, and performs recovery from issues that have potential to jeopardize agreed-upon deliverables.Obtains appropriate contracts and coordinates the maintenance needs of these contracts.Provides monthly and quarterly activity reports that analyze referral source and market activities reports to the Director of Business Development.Provides daily status reports and dashboards to management and stakeholders.Provides or assist with the coordination of patient referrals and community educational activities.Manages internal and external customer expectations.Identifies and ensures compliance with regulations and policies.Develop and plan promotional programs to publicize and promote DHCH activities and events in collaboration with internal and external DHCH community.Assures that timelines and deliverables of the projects are well managed. This will require performing as a liaison with partnering relationships while managing and collaborating with staff in defined areas relative to the needs of the project and programs.Monitor and evaluate communication effectiveness, investigate trends, and recommend and implement modifications to improve communications.Participate in analysis and preparation of promotional/informational items for publication and circulation.Troubleshoots issues across projects, identifying the underlying root causes and improvements for efficiency.Develops standardized educational and marketing presentations.Coordinate communication strategy, planning and implementation.Provide communication support for special events and DHCH initiatives.Represent assigned programs on behalf of the department and serve on various committees as needed.Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.Minimum QualificationsEducationWork requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.ExperienceWork requires the ability to plan and administer programs and direct program activities within a specific functional area, generally acquired through four years of related experience. OR ANY OTHER EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEDegrees, Licensures, CertificationsN/AKnowledge, Skills And AbilitiesTo perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
