Please note: A Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Plastics Engineering, Tooling, or a Mechanical field is required. SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Project Manager manages and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are being accomplished within a defined time frame and budget. Works with new and existing tooling. Tests and qualifies prototype and production tooling. Provides aid to the design group including repairing and updating existing molds. Assist in the Development and evaluation QA / QC process systems, procedures, and statistical techniques. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Reviews project proposals and/or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project. Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of the project and arranges for HR recruitment or assignment of project personnel. Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Suggest methods, materials and tooling modifications per procedure. Sample and debug prototype and production tooling per procedure. Implementation of new molds, system improvement, and experimental designs. Interface with all departments (ie: Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Package Development, Customer Service, General Management) and Plastek divisions as required. Analyzes production capabilities and standards. Statistical processes and capability studies Mold / process capabilities and qualifications Process development Design of experiments and testing techniques QUALIFICATIONS: Be detail Oriented Possess Strong Organizational, Communication, and Interpersonal Skills Ability to work well with others Possess good time management skills Able to take on Multiple Projects at one time and see through to completion Confidentiality is extremely important Self-Motivated and Self-Directed Problem Solving Abilities Ability to communicate complex information in a simple, employee-centric way Team Player REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. EXPERIENCE: 5+ years in related field Plastics Background Product Knowledge Basic Math (Algebra and Trigonometry) Working Knowledge of SAP Computer System Computer knowledge to include Lotus, Excel, Windows, Microsoft Office and Word processing.
