JOB DESCRIPTIONMaterial Analyst (Inventory Analyst)Location: West Point, GeorgiaAbout the RoleAs a Materials Analyst, you'll play a key role in keeping production running smoothly by ensuring the right materials are available at the right time-without excess cost or waste. You'll use data, forecasting, and close supplier collaboration to support just-in-time operations, prevent downtime, and continuously improve material flow across the operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving supply chain challenges, and making a visible impact on daily production performance.Key Responsibilities* Inventory Planning & Control: Monitor inventory levels and align material availability with production schedules using ERP/MRP systems.* Supplier Coordination: Partner with suppliers to track orders, manage material requirements, and proactively resolve delivery issues.* Data Analysis & Forecasting: Analyze historical demand and production data to forecast future material needs and support planning decisions.* Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce material, storage, and transportation costs while maintaining service levels.* Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvements in procurement, inventory accuracy, and material flow to enhance operational efficiency.What You'll Bring (Must-Haves)* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field - or 2-3 years of equivalent experience as a Materials Analyst (JIT experience strongly preferred).* Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or QAD, along with inventory management tools.* Strong analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving skills, with solid proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).* Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.PRIMARY LOCATIONWest Point Facility
