QualificationsADN or BSN in nursingValid Michigan RN license, could possibly work as a graduate nurse until you pass the NCLEX or get your Michigan endorsementMinimum of 2 years nursing experience preferred, but not necessarily requiredBLS, ACLS, PALS required, plus TEAM certification required within one year (all are available through Hillsdale Hospital) ResponsibilitiesTriage incoming patients based on level of injury or illnessImmediately stabilize incoming patientsAdminister medication as instructed by physiciansStart intravenous linesCreate and maintain incoming patient recordsWork with team of emergency staff to help patientsHelp transfer stable patients to other wingsCollect comprehensive data pertinent to patient's health and situationAnalyze assessment data, identify appropriate nursing diagnosis lists and create individualized plan of careEvaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient careParticipate in unit specific/hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives and assist with activities that enhance quality of nursing practice Why Hillsdale HospitalHillsdale Hospital is dedicated to excellence in healthcare community service, continued improvement, and respect for human life.
