Mechanical Project Engineer

This position works closely with project managers, field teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with our quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of MEP construction projects from preconstruction through closeoutSupport project managers in maintaining project budgets, forecasts, and cost controlsPrepare and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentationCoordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure alignment with project requirementsTrack project progress and provide regular updates on schedules, risks, and milestonesAssist in procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to job sitesReview drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project scope and standardsSupport field operations by coordinating logistics, resolving technical issues, and ensuring smooth workflowParticipate in project meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes and action itemsEnsure adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirementsAssist with project closeout activities, including punch lists, documentation, and turnover packagesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field0–3 years of experience in construction, engineering, or a related industry (internship experience considered)Basic understanding of MEP systems and construction processesStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or similar) preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience with BIM/VDC tools such as Revit or NavisworksExposure to design-build or integrated project delivery methodsKnowledge of construction scheduling software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project)OSHA certification or familiarity with safety standardsKey CompetenciesAttention to detail and accuracyStrong time management and prioritizationCollaborative mindset and teamwork orientationInitiative and willingness to learnAdaptability in a fast-paced environment
