High School Guide

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is an in-person role located at our campus in Austin, Texas.Most schools teach students what to think. This role exists to teach them how to execute.Alpha is building a different kind of high school, one where students don't sit through lectures or memorize content. They build, ship, communicate, and grow. They start projects, test ideas, and develop real-world skills that most adults never master. Your job is to make sure they actually do it, and do it well.You will work directly with high school students as they build businesses, run projects, and develop the confidence, communication, and capability required to succeed beyond school. You are not here to teach theory. You are here to coach execution. You will set a high bar, hold students accountable, and push them to produce work that stands up in the real world.This role is for people who have done something meaningful outside of a classroom, built a product, grown an audience, operated in a startup, or driven outcomes in a fast-paced environment, and want to apply that experience to develop the next generation. If you're looking for a traditional teaching role, this is not it. Apply nowWhat you will be doingCreate hands-on workshops teaching students how to grow authentic social media followingsCoach students on content strategy, from ideation to optimization using AI toolsGuide students in building their personal expertise areas into marketable brandsCoach students 1:1 and in small groups to set goals, execute consistently, and deliver real outputsHold students accountable to high standards across communication, work quality, and follow-throughGuide students through real-world projects (businesses, marketing, coding, etc.) and push for tangible resultsTrack student progress across the 3 C's and intervene when performance dropsCommunicate clearly with students and parents on progress, gaps, and next steps What you will NOT be doingDelivering traditional lectures or teaching from a standard curriculumGrading stacks of homework or focusing on theoretical knowledgeHand-holding unmotivated students or lowering standards to maintain comfortOperating in a slow, bureaucratic school environment Key responsibilitiesDrive measurable growth in students' confidence, communication, and real-world capability by coaching them to consistently execute at a high level.Candidate requirementsDemonstrated track record of high personal achievement in at least one real-world domain: building a company, growing an audience, driving revenue, publishing research, competing at a high level, or comparableStrong coaching and mentoring skills, with a talent for inspiring teenagers3+ years coaching/mentoring teenagersExcellent communication and presentation skillsAI/tech proficiency (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)Willing to work on-site in Austin, TX.
