CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Job Title: CNC Machinist (Milling Specialist) 2nd ShiftJob Summary: We are an AS9100-certified job shop specializing in aerospace, defense, and medical products. We have an immediate opening for an experienced CNC Machinist with a strong background in milling (lathe experience is a plus). Our small, family-focused shop runs quick-turn, low-volume orders-often one to three pieces-of highly complex parts with tight GD&T tolerances. Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.Responsibilities:Setup & Operation: Perform frequent setups and teardowns in a job shop environment, including fixture design, tooling selection, and offset adjustments.Precision Machining: Accurately use dial indicators, edge finders, and other metrology tools to meet strict tolerances.Programming: Read and modify G-Code; program with Mastercam (multi-axis experience a plus).Process Knowledge: Understand rigid tapping, canned cycles, and Fanuc controls. Apply appropriate feeds, speeds, and cutting depths for various materials.Quality Assurance: Interpret and apply GD&T from blueprints; measure and inspect parts to ensure conformance to specifications.Collaboration: Work independently with minimal supervision while achieving on-time delivery and maintaining product quality.Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Requirements: Experience10+ years in a CNC job shop environment, specializing in millingMastercam programming: 5+ years (multi-axis preferred)Blueprint reading, GD&T, dimensional inspection: 10+ yearsAerospace CNC machining: 10+ yearsTechnical ProficiencyFamiliarity with Fanuc controls, rigid tapping, canned cyclesAbility to design/build fixtures and choose proper toolingProficiency in reading and editing G-CodeAdditionalProof of U.S. CitizenshipWilling to work 40 hours per week plus occasional overtime as neededStrong communication skills in English (read, write, speak)Compensation & Benefits:Hourly Rate: $30 - $40 per hour (based on experience)Benefits: Includes access to insurance options, holiday pay, and other benefitsPaid Time Off: Includes vacation and other paid leaveGrowth Opportunities: Ongoing professional development in a supportive team environmentJob Type: Full-time 2nd shift (2pm to 10:30pm)Work Location: In-person (job shop environment)
