Senior Project ManagerDPP is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Sacramento, CA with our client in the Utilities industry. Position summary:As a Senior Project Manager, you'll manage high-stakes, high-voltage Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects with a focus on excellence. You'll lead multi-discipline engineering projects, ensuring timely, on-budget completion while upholding the client's Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) guidelines. Working with talented engineers, sub-contractors, and clients, you'll be at the forefront of designing and delivering innovative power solutions.What you'll do:Managing the full project life cycle, including safety, scope, schedule, budget, and risk for complex EPC Substation, Protection & Controls (P&C), or Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Line projectsOverseeing project designs, Bill of Materials (BOM), equipment specifications, and construction requirementsCollaborating with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to drive project milestonesLeading the development of project proposals, schedules, and material listsProviding project performance updates to internal and external stakeholdersEnsuring high-quality deliverables by conducting engineering work reviewsTraveling to client sites and vendor facilities to ensure alignment on project goalsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field (in lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of relevant work experience in Utility Design, Project Management, or Utility Engineering)Experience managing EPC Substation, Protection & Controls (P&C), or Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Line projectsLevel 3: 10-15 yearsSenior: 15+ yearsExpertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for cost/schedule reportingA strong leader with advanced organizational skills to manage multiple complex projectsA skilled communicator capable of leading cross-functional teams and engaging stakeholdersKnowledge of utility engineering practices with an emphasis on Transmission/Substation design and critical path method schedulingWhat this client offers you:Profit-Sharing BonusDay-One Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision401(k) with 4% match and immediate vestingPTO: 120+ hours of PTO + 10 paid holidaysFlexible Work Schedule: Every other Friday offCareer Development: Advancement opportunities, tuition reimbursementPerks: Gym membership stipend, wellness program, fertility benefits, pet insurance, and moreAbout our client: Our client is shaping the future of the power grid through precision, innovation, and purpose.
