Class A Route Driver
EcoLube Recovery is looking for a Route Driver to join their team in Portland, OR! Our Route Driver will drive Class A & B trucks over an established customer route to collect and deliver containerized package 2-3 days per week and collect bulk liquid 2-3 days per week. This position is home nightly.
***$2,500 SIGN ON BONUS***
Key Responsibilities
Collect bulk liquids and/or containerized package from customers.
Deliver new product to customers
Assist with organizing route service events in an efficient and timely manner, including call in services
Communicate regularly with Customer Service/Dispatch throughout the day
Make required number of stops each day at various customer locations as scheduled to include Call-In service requests
Load and unload containerized waste
Accurately completes all required customer and DOT paperwork.
Listens to and resolves service complaints; involve Branch Manager and/or Account Manager where appropriate
Unloads truck at their assigned ELR facility each day
Keeps both interior and exterior of collection truck clean and in good operating order
Complies with all ELR safety and environmental policies.
Complies with all standard company operating and safety procedures and protocols
Act in a professional manner toward customers, prospective customers, vendors, and co-workers
Other duties as assigned
What do you need?
High School diploma or equivalent required
2 years’ experience driving CDL vehicles preferred
1-2 year’s route-based driving experience highly preferred
Valid Class A CDL
Tanker endorsement preferred, ability to obtain one on hire required
Ability to drive a manual transmission
Basic operating knowledge of computers, including basic Office suite
Basic math skills
Strong customer service and problem solving skills
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English
Ability to understand instructions given verbally or in writing in English
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
What are the physical requirements (with or without accommodation)?
Must be able to meet the requirements to pass a DOT physical.
Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Manual dexterity sufficient to drive and operate equipment.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move more than 75lbs.
