The RoleWe are seeking a Mid-Level Accountant to join our team. This role will be central to ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial operations while supporting a wide range of projects across the organization. You will partner closely with our leadership team, manage day-to-day accounting functions, and collaborate with both internal team members and external accounting partners. Please note, while this is a remote position, candidates must reside in the Chico, CA, Sacramento, CA or Reno, NV areas and able to meet onsite as needed.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating reliable, repeatable processes.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations & SystemsMaintain and improve our accounting and finance systems (ERP, bill pay, payroll, etc.)Ensure accurate data flow between internal systems and outsourced accounting providersMaintain and improve detailed cash flow analysis and forecastingVendor & Cash ManagementManage bill pay processes, including vendor setup, invoice approvals, and timely paymentsSupport collections from customers and maintain visibility into ARReporting & Investor SupportPrepare and deliver monthly financial actuals for internal management and external investorsSupport budget vs. actuals analysis and variance commentaryCompensation & PayrollCalculate and validate sales commissionsOversee payroll processingHR Operations & SupportMaintain employee data and workflows in Rippling (HRIS/Payroll platform)Provide light support for headcount reporting, onboarding, and policy upkeepTeam & Ad Hoc SupportServe as a resource for internal team members on finance-related processesProvide hands-on support for special projects and initiatives as neededQualifications3–5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience (software/SaaS experience preferred)Strong understanding of accounting principles and operational finance processesProficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Excel/Google SheetsExperience coordinating with outsourced accountants or external vendorsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProcess-oriented mindset with a willingness to “roll up your sleeves”Who You AreDetail-driven and precise — you don’t let things slip through the cracksComfortable switching between structured reporting and ad hoc problem-solvingProcess-focused — you think in terms of systems, repeatability, and efficiencyCollaborative — able to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and external partnersExcited by the chance to work in a scaling, dynamic software companyWhy Join UsBe part of a small but growing team with visibility to the leadership teamBroad scope — touch every part of finance from systems to investor reportingGrowth opportunity — shape processes and play a key role in building the finance functionCompetitive compensation, benefits, and the opportunity to grow with the companyCompensation for this role is $70,000 annually
