System Administrator – Managed Services Location: Houston, TX Schedule: Hybrid after ramp-up, 1 day remote per week Salary: $60,000 – $70,000Overview We are a Houston-based Cloud and Managed Services Provider hiring a System Administrator to support continued growth across our client base. This role is ideal for a strong Level 2 Technician or junior Systems Administrator who has experience working in an MSP environment and is comfortable handling escalations, troubleshooting Microsoft environments, and supporting light project work.You will split your time between escalated support from Tier 1 technicians and hands-on technical work across desktops, servers, Microsoft 365, networking, firewalls, VMware, and cloud technologies. This is a strong opportunity for someone who has moved beyond basic help desk support and wants to continue growing into more advanced systems and infrastructure work.ResponsibilitiesHandle escalated support issues involving Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and desktop environmentsSupport and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 workstations, printers, applications, and end-user devicesAssist with light project work including hardware/software deployments, migrations, and system improvementsTroubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity, VPN issues, and remote access solutionsConfigure and support network equipment including routers, switches, and SonicWall firewallsSupport VMware environments, backups, and server-related issuesWork with Tier 1 technicians to resolve escalations and improve ticket qualityDeliver responsive, customer-focused support across multiple client environmentsRequired ExperienceExperience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP)3+ years of IT support experience in a ticket-driven environmentStrong troubleshooting experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Windows 10/11Experience supporting Windows Server, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, and VPNsFamiliarity with networking fundamentals including LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, and routersAbility to handle escalated issues independently while supporting multiple client environmentsStrong communication skills and a customer service-focused approachPreferred ExperienceExperience supporting SonicWall firewallsVMware administration or troubleshooting experienceAzure / Entra ID experienceExperience with SharePoint, Terminal Services, Citrix, or backup solutionsExperience assisting with small projects, migrations, or client onboardingBenefitsHealth, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchQuarterly Profit SharingTraining and Certification ReimbursementHybrid Schedule with 1 Remote Day Per Week
