Internship/Externship Program
Program Description
Transit Health LLC. is an insurance-based outpatient mental health clinic that provides counseling and psychological services to individuals, couples and families. This training is open to psychology, counseling and social work graduate students. The internship/externship provides training in evidence-based psychotherapy and specializes in treating mental health disorders. Trainees will see up to 8‑10 clients weekly and will receive individual supervision and one hour of group supervision. Supervision is provided by board‑approved licensed Clinicians (LCPC, LCSW, & Psychologists). Training will also include clinical case conferences, seminars, and professional development groups. Patients will include children, adolescents, and adults. Trainees work 16‑20 hours per week and must be available one evening. Trainees will be paid a stipend during the course of their training.
Qualifications
Applicants must have completed at least one year of graduate level coursework. They should be entering their second year of graduate study.
