Job Title: Financial AnalystBase Period: June 3, 2026 – June 2, 2027Option Year 1: June 3, 2027 – June 2, 2028Option Year 2: June 3, 2028 – June 2, 2029United States Attorney's Office – Northern District of CaliforniaLocation: San Francisco, CAPosition SummaryThe Financial Analyst Contractor provides investigative and analytical support to Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) and the Financial Litigation Program (FLP). The role focuses on conducting financial investigations related to criminal and civil debt collection matters, tracing assets, analyzing complex financial transactions, and assessing debtors' ability to pay judgments.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct financial analyses of individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and related entities.Review and analyze:Financial statementsTax returnsBank recordsCredit reportsEscrow and lending documentsReal property recordsTrace movement of funds and identify assets available for debt collection or recovery.Prepare detailed written reports with findings and recommendations for attorneys and FLP staff.Draft subpoenas, interrogatories, and requests for production of documents.Perform database research and analyze public records, liens, judgments, SEC filings, and other financial information sources.Support attorneys and investigators with case preparation and litigation support.Maintain accurate documentation and provide verbal or written updates as required.Assist with ancillary office and administrative support functions.Required QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in:AccountingFinanceBusiness AdministrationEconomicsOr a related fieldExperienceMinimum of three (3) years of accounting or financial management experience.Federal Government financial management experience preferred.Required Knowledge & SkillsStrong understanding of financial analysis and investigative techniques.Knowledge of:Corporate structuresPartnerships and LLCsTrusts and estate planning entitiesDebt collection proceduresGarnishments and receivershipsAbility to analyze fiscal discrepancies and prepare financial reports.Proficiency with:Microsoft ExcelMicrosoft AccessFinancial databases and research toolsAbility to create charts, graphs, and analytical reports.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Work ScheduleMonday through FridayStandard office hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PMOvertime may be required with prior approval.Security RequirementsMust successfully complete a DOJ background investigation/security clearance process before beginning work.Work EnvironmentOffice-based role located in San Francisco, California.Sedentary work with standard office conditions and minimal physical demands.Talantage, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
