2nd Shift Production Shift Supervisor- Injection Molding

General Technologies, Inc. is looking to hire a Production Supervisor to provide additional support to our team! Purpose: Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.Responsibilities (Include But Are Not Limited To)Set daily objectives and communicate them to employeesOrganize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedulesOversee and coach employees on a daily basisEnsure the safe use of equipment and tools on a daily basisCheck production output according to specificationsSubmit reports on performance and progressIdentify issues in efficiency and suggest improvementsAssure that new employees are receiving adequate training on how to safely use machinery and are following proceduresEnsure housekeeping is maintained on a daily basisMaintain positive employee relations and adhere to Company policies and safety standardsReports to plant managerRequirementsProven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role2-3 years' experience of 'hands-on' injection molding Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and toolsMust be able to troubleshoot and adjust molding parameters to maintain quality and maximum outputMust be able to respond to problems by performing corrective technical or mechanical solutionsMust be able to engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containersMust be flexible; able to work extended hours and weekends when required May be required to sit or stand for long periods of timeMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsBasic knowledge in MS OfficeOrganizational and leadership abilitiesCommunication and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated with a results-driven approachProblem-solving skillsHigh School Diploma; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantageBilingual (English & Spanish) is not mandatory but is a plusScheduleMon-Fri 1:45pm-11:15pmMust be able to work overtime and on weekends when neededPhysical DemandsThe description below is intended to describe the general content and requirements for the performance of this job but is not limited to:While performing the duties of the job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
