Production Engineer
SUMMARYUnder limited review, performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff of the company. Daily duties will involve interfacing with engineering and operational personnel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESUnder guidance of District Manager and Area Production Engineers, conduct production database data query, plotting and reporting.Design, create, build and load excel spreadsheet applications as department grows – including historical data loading and ongoing / future maintenance.Gather and compile well information. Includes well bore diagrams, wire line reports, work-over reports, etc.Assist District Manager and Engineers in various tasks of analysis, evaluation and programs preparation for workovers, including permitting, AFE’s SO’s, etc.Develop, coordinate and track all state work-over permits. Communicate status of permits to all personnel involved with work activity.Preparation of production engineering verbal and written presentations.Preparation of reports, including production variance reports, production forecasts, daily operations reports and budget reports.Prepare and file various state reports (annual SWD, Annual Pressure Maintenance, WH-1, etc.).(LA – MS)Assist District Manager and Engineers with non-technical tasks of printing and filing reports.Interface with Reservoir Engineering to ensure data transfer, communications, electronic and hardcopy filings systems are properly maintained and accessible.Organize, support and maintain hardcopy engineering and central file systems.Draft Master Service Agreements for new vendors and review insurance requirements.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree (B.A.) and two years’ related oil and gas experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.Work requires continual attention to detail in composing and typing.Must be a team player, take initiative and a self-starter. LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and other third parties. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS AND REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply complex mathematical concepts to accounting reconciliations and variance analysis in Excel using system-generated data.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.Ability to interpret instructions from a variety of sources furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
