The EXP team is dedicated to crafting and delivering fulfilling, engaging, and inclusive experiences at five pivotal moments in every employee's journey with DOH: Talent AcquisitionOnboardingLearning and GrowthLeader DevelopmentEngagement and Well-being What You Will Do: As the Learning Experiences Supervisor, you will lead the Learning Experiences Team as part of the Learning and Growth Experiences Team (LGET). Under your guidance this team will design and deliver synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities, emphasizing diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and accessibility throughout the process. Leveraging your expertise in program management, workplace learning, instructional design, facilitation, eLearning, and DEI, you will lead the Learning Experiences Team to deliver impactful, engaging, and inclusive learning opportunities. Your strategic approach to identifying and translating essential knowledge and skills into effective training programs will play a pivotal role in driving the organization toward its transformational goals. Collaborating closely with the Learning and Growth Experiences Manager, you will contribute to the success of the Employee Experience Program by implementing workforce interventions that align with DOH’s strategic vision. Expectations and Responsibilities: Manage agencywide learning programs, ensuring alignment with DEI and enterprise requirements.Supervise a team of highly-skilled designers, facilitators, and a program specialist.Develop and manage policies for mandatory learning experiences.Align learning programs with strategic goals of the learning and growth experiences team.Interpret and apply state mandates, incorporating directives like OFM State Human Resources 23-01.Conduct research to enhance workplace learning experiences.Analyze current needs and workforce environment, adjusting programs accordingly.Create and manage vision and strategic plans for learning experiences.Implement strategies to meet agency and program objectives.Identify and address equity gaps and barriers to DEI in learning experiences.Advocate for resources needed to achieve strategic goals.Manage learning experience projects, measuring outcomes and progress.Advise and conduct pilot testing for compliance with accessibility requirements.Ensure agencywide activities comply with statewide learning and growth best practices.Lead special projects to innovate and transform learning experiences.Co-lead DOH Training Community of Practice and collaborate with key partners.Present Learning and Growth Experiences Team programs to agency leaders.You Will Be Successful at the DOH If: You embrace cultural humility by honoring diverse perspectives and cultures.You are committed to equity and inclusion, removing barriers, championing social justice, and fostering a sense of belonging.You use an outward mindset to make impactful contributions, blending your personal expertise with collaborative achievements.You excel at problem-solving and crafting effective solutions while communicating clearly across different mediums.You are dedicated to customer service and navigate diverse interactions to build strong organizational relationships.Your technical competence shines, making you an invaluable asset to our team! Location and FlexibilityWe value work-life balance and offer the convenience of remote work! This position will give you the option to work from home or from the closest DOH facility. Attending in-person events or working In-office is rarely required and would be scheduled in advance. This is a remote home-based position available to applicants residing anywhere in Washington State, as well as those living near the Oregon/Washington border and the Idaho/Washington border. To be considered for this position, you must meet one of the required qualification options listed and any additional qualifications included in the required qualifications section. Education can substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis. Option 1: Six (6) or more years of experience designing and delivering learning experiences for adults or managing employee support programs. Option 2: An associate degree AND four (4) or more years of experience defined in option 1. Option 3: A bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, information technology, visual/graphic design, communication studies, business administration, or related field AND two (2) or more years of experience defined in option 1 Option 4: A master’s degree in adult education and training, lifelong learning, educational technology, educational design, instructional design, or related field AND One (1) year of experience defined in option 1 Experience using the following technical tools and software: Microsoft O365 programs.Word processing tools (e.g., Word, Adobe Pro, Google Docs, etc.).Virtual meeting tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams, GoTo Meeting, etc.).Presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PPT, Google Slides, Prezi, etc.).Preferred Qualifications: The qualifications below are what would make you a strong fit for this role.
