The role
Reporting into the Head of Finance Systems and Reinsurance, the Finance Risk Lead role is responsible for supporting the Finance and Actuarial division, in particular the General Manager of NOHC Finance, and General Manager of NOHC Actuarial in ensuring effective risk management, governance, and compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
This role sits in the first line of defense across the Risk framework and involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks, ensuring adherence to governance frameworks, and maintaining compliance with any statutory and regulatory requirements.
As we continue to integrate two risk environment across the Acenda Group, this role is responsible for standardizing and ensuring consistent application and continuous improvement of various risk frameworks, reporting and governance processes.
About you
An experienced Risk professional, you possess a minimum of 10+ years of experience across both first and second line risk roles, interacting with finance and/or actuarial teams.
Your experience partnering with technical stakeholders such as actuaries enables you to understand complex concepts and translate them into clear, effective risk outcomes.
Lastly, your strong understanding of financial risk frameworks, relevant regulations, and governance standards, coupled with strong communication (both written and verbal) skills will enable you to engage effectively and influence key decision making.
