What are we looking for?The System Administrator is responsible for to oversee, maintain, and plan the future growth of the infrastructure as well as receive, install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain customer devices that are sent in for cybersecurity testing.Salary & Benefits InformationThe base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 . Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. In addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.What you’ll do:Listed examples are illustrative and representative of the tasks required of this position and are not intended to be complete or exclusive.Install and configure network devices (i.e., switches, routers, firewalls, wireless network devices, virtualization servers, etc.)Work with devices from a wide range of vendorsEngage with vendors when troubleshooting client devicesMonitor, identify, and resolve network and device issues quickly to minimize downtimeRecommend, schedule, and perform improvements, upgrades, and repairsCommunicate and collaborate with co-workers and management to ensure infrastructure can meet business demandsProvide routine support for in-house and remote computer systems using Windows 11 and virtualization serversMaintain working database or inventory of client and internal devices, IPs, and access controlWork with internal customers to provide system solutionsWrite effective technical documentation as assignedKeep abreast of current technologyPerform other duties as required This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:Associates Degree in Information Technology, or the equivalent in terms of education, experience and training. Bachelors degree preferredAt least two years computer network maintenance experienceKnowledge of Microsoft Server productsKnowledge of networking topologies and network wiring systemsHands-on experience with firewalls, VPN, and routersExtensive experience utilizing several operating systemsCertified Network Engineer or other technical certification such as CCNA or MCSE preferredExperience with Cisco based equipment a plusExperience with VMware a plusModel Intertek’s 10X Energies at all times within the work place, practicing business the right wayBe aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at workAbility to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlinesMust be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formatsMust possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job dutiesMust be customer focused and quality drivenPreferred Requirements & Qualifications:Bachelors degree preferredExperience with Cisco based equipment a plusExperience with VMware a plusCCNA certification, Network+ certification, familiarity with wireless technology and networks, industry certifications such as Security+, MCSE, Scripting experienceIntertek: Total Quality.
