Hardware & Wireless Validation Engineer

Our client, a leading innovator in wireless and automotive technology, is seeking a Validation Engineer to join their team. As a Validation Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting hardware and wireless system validation initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent collaboration skills, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Hardware & Wireless Validation EngineerLocation: Foster City, CAPay Range: $85/hour + BenefitsWhat's the Job?Develop, document, and execute comprehensive validation tests for hardware and network-connected devices. Conduct hands-on testing including functional, performance, environmental, and reliability assessments using advanced test equipment. Design and maintain test infrastructure, including custom test assets and lab setups, utilizing scripting languages like Python and TTCN. Collaborate with design engineers and external partners to validate system performance and troubleshoot issues. Ensure compliance with international regulatory standards such as FCC, PTCRB, and GCF through conformance testing and documentation. What's Needed?Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. 7+ years of relevant experience in electronics development, with at least 5+ years in wireless system validation. Hands-on experience with wireless test platforms (Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz) and automotive Ethernet testing. Strong knowledge of Ethernet standards, IP network protocols, and 3GPP LTE/5G network architecture. Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and diagnostic tools like Wireshark and QXDM.
