Electro‑Mechanical Fitter – Team Leader

Due to a growing volume of work, we are looking to hire an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a broad skill set across various disciplines, including design, engineering, construction, procurement, maintenance, and project management. This can be based at our Hamilton or Manchester Business Unit.Key Responsibilities & AccountabilityA Strong ability to understand project objectives and deliverablesDesign and specification of electrical installations, from low voltage (LV) to 33kV systemsComprehensive modelling of electrical systems, including load calculations, fault level assessments, and coordination of protective measuresEnsuring designs and on-site work comply with relevant standards and regulationsDeveloping technical specifications for electrical equipmentCommunicating design concepts clearly through meetings, technical documentation, and detailed drawings to ensure accurate representationActing as a technical representative in client and contractor meetings, showcasing professionalism and expertiseConducting site surveys, inspections, and monitoring on-site activities to ensure project integrityManaging project delivery components with a focus on budget and cost controlWriting detailed reports and maintaining comprehensive records in line with company standardsPromoting effective communication and collaboration across teams to achieve project goalsQualifications, Experience & Personal AttributesThe successful applicant will possess:A minimum qualification of HND/HNC or an equivalent credential is essentialA minimum of five years of experience in electrical designProficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other technical / electrical modelling software applications such as Amtech, ETAP, Power Factory, etcFamiliarity with relevant technical standards is requiredStrong skills in professional report writingBasic proficiency in AutoCAD softwareHolds a current registration with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) or a commitment to achieve registration in the near futureExperience in utility or connections-related projects Must demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to manage one's workload independentlyHow to ApplyIf you are interested in applying for this role please send your CV and letter of application explaining how you meet the requirements of the role to:-Email: recruitment@quartzelec.comStrictly no agencies pleaseQuartzelec is an equal opportunities employerAll personal data collected by Quartzelec Ltd is stored and processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).Please read our Privacy Policy for a full insight on how we protect and manage data.If you wish for your data to be removed from our database please contact us at recruitment@quartzelec.comBACK TO CURRENT VACANCIES
