The organization has demonstrated growth over recent years and holds multiple government contract vehicles, indicating a solid presence in federal technology services.About the Opportunity:The Software Developer - Mid-Level (Java) will contribute to the development and maintenance of mission-critical trade certification systems used by various stakeholders including importers, exporters, and government officials. This role is responsible for delivering software enhancements, resolving production issues, and ensuring system reliability and compliance within an Agile/SAFe team environment. The position supports cloud-based Java applications and involves document generation, integrations, and continuous improvement efforts.Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, and maintain Java features and services for trade certification systems.Develop and maintain PDF document and report generation using JasperReports and iText.Build, deploy, and maintain application components hosted in Microsoft Azure.Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with external services.Analyze and resolve production defects and service requests promptly.Implement modernization enhancements from user stories and requirements.Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.Maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated builds, testing, and deployments.Support testing activities and deployment coordination.Create and update technical documentation.Participate in Agile/SAFe ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.Minimum 3 years of professional mid-level software development experience.Strong Java development skills with frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful services, and ORM (JPA/Hibernate).Experience deploying and maintaining applications in Microsoft Azure.Practical experience with JasperReports, Jaspersoft Studio, and iText for document generation.Proficiency with relational databases, SQL, query tuning, and stored procedures.Experience with Git version control and CI/CD tooling.Agile or SAFe delivery experience.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication abilities.U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a favorable Public Trust background investigation.Pay Range and Compensation Package:The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.Equal Opportunity Statement:Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
