Description:
Essential Functions
Process and maintain discrepant product reports
Review customer quality requirements and specifications
Audit process and procedures for compliance with QMS
Conduct supplier assessments / audits and maintain AVL
Determine root cause and corrective / preventative actions
Ensure applicable product delivery documentation, CoC
Prepare for source inspection, interact with customer
Internal audits, ISO9001/AS9001 audits, customer surveys
Support Functions
Generate NCR, CAR, QMS metrics
Assist in creating FAIRs as needed
Submit to customer change proposals
Archive & scan all applicable records
GIDEP and counterfeit avoidance
In-process build Quality Inspection
Training of procedure changes
Take photos of defects
Assist QA Inspectors & Mgr. as required
This is a full-time position at 45 hours per week. Typical office hours include Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:30pm, however these hours will vary based on workload and the manager’s discretion. This job may require more than 45 hours of work per week as the need arises.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This Quality Engineer position operates in a professional office and production manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and photocopiers.
This Quality Engineer position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements:
Required Education and Experience
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
BS degree in engineering, or equivalent experience in a quality role within the printed circuit fabrication or related industry.
Experience in ISO 9001 manufacturing
Familiar with GD&T or PCB fabrication drawings
Clear oral & written communication skills
Calipers, micrometers, ht. stands, gauges
Visual Inspection using microscopes
Understand ESD protocols
Conducted Internal audits
Preferred Experience and Skills
Conducted AS9100 audits
AS9102 First Article Inspection
Familiar with PCB fabrication / IPC-A-600
Familiar with MIL-PRF-55110 and/or MIL-PRF-31032
Statistical Process Control (SPC) / Six Sigma
Automated visual inspection equipment
