SQL Server Database Administrator (Mid-Level)

Location: Remote (U.S.). Supports the U.S. Government Publishing Office, Washington, DCType: Full-time, contingent on contract award. Anticipated start November 16, 2026Hours: 8 hours/day within 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM ET. Periodic scheduled after-hours work for patching and rebootsNorth Point Technology is hiring a mid-level SQL Server DBA to support GPO's SQL Server and SQL Cluster environment alongside a senior SQL DBA.What you'll do:Administer SQL Server, SQL Clusters, and standalone SQL databasesExecute patching, installs, and routine maintenanceImplement and test failovers, backups, and restoresSupport MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MS Access databasesTroubleshoot database and application issues, including SharePointWork ServiceNow tickets and RFCs within SLAsMonitor systems with Idera and SolarWinds and build dashboardsContribute to weekly activity reportsWhat you need:4+ years of database administration experience, primarily SQL ServerExperience with SQL Clustering, T-SQL, and SQL scriptingExposure to Oracle, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDBExperience creating and managing standalone SQL databasesAbility to work independently and communicate clearlyPreferred:Microsoft SQL Server or Azure data certificationFederal support experienceNorth Point Technology is THE BEST place to work for curious-minded engineers motivated to support our country’s most crucial missions!
