Role Description This is a project-based, remote position for a Grant Writer, based in the San Diego Metropolitan Area. The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching and identifying funding opportunities, preparing compelling grant proposals and applications, and maintaining accurate records for compliance and reporting for the grant cycle. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to align funding efforts with the organization's mission and strategic goals. Qualifications Experience in Grant Writing and Proposal Writing, with a talent for creating persuasive and compelling funding applications for federal and California State grants.Proficiency in Prospect Research to identify and evaluate potential funding opportunities and partners.Proven track record of securing grants for mission-based nonprofit organizations.Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and adherence to strict deadlines.Compliance reporting, budgeting.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and community stakeholders.Master’s degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Policy, or a related field preferred.Experience in the nonprofit sector or familiarity with community-based projects serving BIPOC, linguistically and culturally diverse disabled clients from underserved communities is an advantage.This is a remote, project-based position.
