Plant Controller
Plant Controller (Manufacturing) We are seeking a Plant Controller to serve as the primary finance leader at a manufacturing facility in Dayton, TN. This role partners closely with plant leadership to drive financial performance, improve cost structure, and support operational excellence.This is a highly visible position with direct impact on site performance, offering the opportunity to lead key financial initiatives and contribute to broader organizational projects.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the lead finance partner to plant leadership, supporting day-to-day operations and long-term strategyOwn the site’s financial performance, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flowLead all financial reporting, forecasting, and annual budgeting processesAnalyze monthly results and partner with operations to drive performance improvements and cost efficienciesOversee cost accounting activities, including inventory control, material usage, and labor productivityEnsure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements (SOX)Manage capital expenditure processes, including forecasting, approvals, and ROI trackingDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction and productivitySupport cross-site and enterprise-wide finance projects as neededCollaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain, and corporate financeQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environmentStrong background in cost accounting and operational financeExperience with ERP systems (SAP or similar preferred)Proven ability to analyze data, solve problems, and drive process improvementsStrong communication skills with the ability to partner across multiple levels of the organizationExperience supporting system implementations or integrations is a plusSelf-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and intellectual curiosityWhat You’ll BringA hands-on approach with the ability to work closely with operations on the plant floorA focus on metrics, accountability, and performance improvementThe ability to translate financial data into actionable insightsA collaborative mindset and desire to grow within a dynamic manufacturing environmentAdditional DetailsLocation: Dayton, TN (on-site with occasional travel)High visibility role with direct exposure to leadershipOpportunity to make a measurable impact on plant performance*Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
