Company: Meta (through TEKsystems)Title: Connectivity EngineerLocation: New Albany, OHOnsite: 100%Job Type: W2 ContractDuration: 30 monthsStart Date: June 2026Pay Rate: Based on experience listed belowAbout The RoleMeta is seeking a Connectivity Engineer focused on Data Center Commissioning and Auditing to ensure network and connectivity infrastructure is installed, tested, validated, and production-ready prior to handoff to operations. This role is embedded in the late construction and commissioning phase, serving as a technical authority for connectivity quality, compliance, and readiness.Connectivity Engineers in this role work on-site alongside construction, commissioning, and operations readiness teams to verify that fiber, structured cabling, and connectivity systems meet Meta standards, specifications, and performance expectations before go-live.ResponsibilitiesLead connectivity commissioning activities for new data centers and major expansionsValidate completion and readiness of fiber and structured cabling installations prior to turnoverPerform technical audits and field inspections to ensure contractor work complies with Meta standards, scope, and documentationReview and approve fiber test results (OTDR, ILM, power testing) and commissioning reportsIdentify installation defects, quality issues, or readiness gaps and drive corrective actions to closurePartner with construction managers, commissioning agents, and vendors to resolve punch-list items related to connectivityVerify labeling, pathways, grounding, room readiness (MMRs, MDFs, IDFs), and cable managementParticipate in network readiness reviews and go-live signoffsEnsure all connectivity assets are fully documented, tested, and accepted prior to handoff to operationsCapture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of commissioning and audit standardsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent practical experience3+ years of experience supporting data center connectivity during commissioning, QA/QC, or turnover phasesStrong hands-on experience with fiber optic infrastructure, structured cabling, and low-voltage systemsProven ability to review and interpret test results, as-builts, and commissioning documentationExperience performing field audits, inspections, or technical acceptance reviewsComfortable working on-site in active construction environments and traveling between projectsPreferred QualificationsExperience commissioning hyperscale or mission-critical data centersStrong familiarity with OTDR, power meter testing, and fiber acceptance criteriaBackground in QA/QC, commissioning, or operational readiness programsExperience working directly with commissioning agents, GCs, and low-voltage contractorsKnowledge of Meta-scale or similar enterprise cabling and connectivity standardsStrong documentation, issue tracking, and stakeholder communication skillsJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
