3RD SHIFT: SUNDAY - THURSDAY 9PM - 6PMWhat this job involves:As an Operating/Building Engineer, you'll play a critical role in keeping our facilities running at peak performance during overnight hours. This position centers on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across all building systems including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire, and Life Safety systems. You'll manage complex building systems, respond to emerging issues as they arise, and ensure our facilities meet and exceed applicable standards while our clients' operations continue seamlessly. At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way for our clients, ourselves, and our fellow employees, and your technical skills will be essential to delivering the reliable, high-quality facility operations our clients depend on.What your day-to-day will look like:Operate, maintain, and repair Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to keep all facility and building systems performing to applicable standardsPerform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and associated equipment, including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing parts to maintain optimum performance levelsRecord equipment readings and system parameters, making necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation and identifying potential issues before they escalateMonitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors to ensure standards are met and costs remain competitiveMaintain responsibility for facility services, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance coordination, and general maintenance tasksPerform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory to ensure all equipment is available, properly maintained, and ready for useTroubleshoot and repair lighting systems, including ballast replacement throughout the facilityPerform maintenance and repairs on plumbing fixtures including toilets, urinals, and hand wash stations, and operate drain cleaning equipment to resolve blockagesRequired qualifications:5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systemsAbility to analyze the operation of various industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems, determine the cause of problems or malfunctions, and take corrective actionWorking knowledge of CMMS (i.e. Corrigo)High school diploma or GED equivalentPhysical ability to bend, sit, kneel, squat, stand, reach, and lay as required to access equipment components for extended periods of timeAbility to work exposed to varying environmental conditions including heat, sunlight, rain, cold, and both daylight and nighttime hoursPreferred qualifications:EPA 608 Type II Certification or higher for refrigerant handlingAdditional EPA certifications (Universal certification preferred)Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Trade certifications or technical school training in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing disciplinesExperience working in mission-critical facilities or environments requiring 24/7 operations
