Supervisor / Team Lead Billing, Collections & Pricing

Job TitleKey Responsibilities: Billing and Collections: Supervise the billing and collections team to ensure timely and accurate invoicing for fuel deliveries and transportation fees. Monitor outstanding receivables and work to resolve any payment delays or discrepancies. Establish and maintain relationships with customers to address billing questions, resolve disputes, and ensure smooth collections. Collaborate with the accounting department to reconcile customer accounts and manage cash flow. Implement and oversee collection strategies, including account follow-ups. Pricing: Oversee the pricing process to ensure accurate and timely updates to customer pricing information. Review and analyze market trends, fuel cost changes, transportation costs. Work closely with sales and operations teams to align strategies with customer contracts and market conditions. Prepare and maintain reports and forecasts to aid in strategic decision-making. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, train, and mentor a team of billing, collections, and pricing professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and accuracy. Ensure the team follows standard operating procedures, policies, and regulatory compliance for billing and pricing. Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and provide feedback to team members to ensure growth and improvement. Address team challenges, escalate issues as needed, and work cross-functionally with other departments to resolve them. Other Responsibilities: Monitor department performance metrics and implement improvements to achieve efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, and management, to ensure smooth billing, collections, and pricing processes. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and company policies. Handle special projects or ad-hoc tasks as required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred). 3+ years of experience in billing, collections, pricing, or related financial functions, ideally in a wholesale fuel or similar industry. Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team. Strong understanding of financial systems, invoicing processes, and credit management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze and interpret market data, pricing trends, and financial reports. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP software. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Moving to 3378 E.
