Accounts Payable Clerk

**Job Overview** We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and managing accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payment to vendors, and maintaining accurate records. This is a dynamic role that requires strong analytical skills, technical accounting knowledge, and proficiency in accounting software. **Responsibilities** - Process and manage accounts payable transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and payment vouchers - Analyze vendor invoices to ensure accurate payment, including ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures - Utilize HRIS systems, such as UltiPro or ADP, to manage employee benefits and payroll - Manage and maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions, including vendor information and payment history - Review and process accounts payable transactions in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Quicken - Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to ensure timely and accurate payment of accounts payable - Identify and resolve discrepancies in vendor invoices and payment records - Maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations, such as tax codes and financial reporting requirements - Perform technical accounting analysis to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) - Assist with payroll management and benefits administration as needed **Qualifications** - High school diploma or equivalent required - Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable, payroll management, or a related field - Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Quicken - Strong analytical skills and technical accounting knowledge - Experience with HRIS systems, such as UltiPro or ADP - Excellent organizational and communication skills - Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Experience with benefits administration and payroll management is a plus - Familiarity with technical accounting principles and GAAP is an asset - Certification in accounting, such as a Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) or a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), is desirable.
