Cloud Systems Engineer with Security Clearance

Description This position is in support of a proposal effort and is contingent upon contract award. While this is not an immediate opening, we are proactively identifying qualified candidates for anticipated roles expected to begin around August. We are seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to join our team and support mission-critical programs through strong security practices, collaboration, and attention to detail. Position Overview We are seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to support the design, operation, and optimization of enterprise cloud environments. This role is responsible for managing cloud infrastructure, supporting system performance, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and accreditation requirements. You'll work closely with IT, security, and program teams to deliver scalable, secure cloud solutions that support mission needs. Key Responsibilities Cloud Administration & OperationsSupport the administration and maintenance of enterprise cloud environments (classified and unclassified)Manage cloud accounts, access, and usage across environmentsEnsure system performance, availability, and reliabilityTroubleshoot cloud-related issues and implement solutions Cloud Engineering & ImplementationTranslate user needs into technical cloud requirements and solutionsDevelop and support implementation plans, including proofs of concept (POCs)Design and deploy cloud-based storage solutions for data archiving and lifecycle managementSupport migration and transition of program data, tools, and artifacts into cloud environments Requirements & OptimizationConduct regular reviews of cloud requirements and identify capability gapsRecommend improvements and enhancements to cloud architecture and servicesProvide technical recommendations and solution options to stakeholders Cybersecurity & ComplianceSupport compliance with cybersecurity standards and accreditation requirements (ATO/ATD)Assist with compliance assessments, audits, and remediation effortsEnsure cloud environments meet security policies and governance requirementsMaintain proper documentation to support accreditation and oversight Data Management & ReportingSupport data lifecycle management, including:Archiving inactive program dataEnabling secure data sharing and accessDevelop dashboards and reports to track:System performanceComplianceRisk and usage metrics Documentation & Process SupportDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cloud operationsDocument system configurations, processes, and solutionsSupport continuous improvement of cloud services and processes Qualifications Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in:Cloud ComputingComputer ScienceInformation TechnologyInformation SystemsCybersecurity * or related field6+ years of experience in:Cloud systems administrationCloud environment managementCybersecurity compliance and assessments Desired QualificationsMaster's degree in a related fieldCloud certifications such as:AWS (e.g., Solutions Architect, SysOps)Microsoft Azure * or equivalentExperience managing cloud environments within:Intelligence Community (IC) Clearance RequirementActive TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Additional InformationThis job description is not designed to cover or contain all job duties required of the employee.
