As a team member at DuPage County, you will also have access to time off with pay on Designated Holidays or holiday pay if required to work, Vacation time, Sick time, Comp time, and Personal days.To learn more about the cost and coverage of the benefits plan, visit Employees Benefit InformationFor detailed information on paid time off, visit Local 399 ContractPlans, lays out, installs and repairs a variety of complex electrical equipment including electronic controls, switchboards, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers and various other types of electronic equipment involving transistor circuitsEstablishes balance loadsLays out and wires complex circuitsDiagnoses electrical problems and replaces or repairs parts as necessaryDetects and replaces defective control modules, tests and makes adjustmentsPrepares wiring diagrams to record all changesRecommends ordering of supplies and maintains various work recordsDirects and instructs the work of Electrician Technicians where necessary and is responsible for the safety of their assistantsMakes modifications to older equipment to keep it operatingKeeps supervisor informed of modificationsMaintains regular attendance and punctuality.Requirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience:* Completion of a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma equivalent* Completion of electrical trade courses plus six years experience in industrial electrical work including electronic circuitry; or two years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician* Must possess and maintain in good standing a valid Illinois Driver's LicensePost offer physical is required.Pre-employment background check is required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
