Process Engineer - Gear Manufacturing

We are currently looking for a Process Engineer with significant experience in gear manufacturing.Job DescriptionOur client is a Precision Manufacturer of custom Bevel and parallel axis Gears. We serve a large range of industries from Commercial to Mining, Auto Racing, Defense and Aerospace just to name a few. If it has a Bevel or Parallel Axis Gear in it odds are we’ve made it or can.Due to a significant increase in business we are currently looking to add an experienced process engineer to our already talented staff, ideally someone with some Gear experience.Responsibilities/daily tasks:Prepare gear designs for production. Prepare quotes on new and existing business. Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems. Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers. Develop innovative solutions. Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards. Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process. Provide suggestions during incident investigations. Advise on corrective actions. Work with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop a cost-effective and working production process. Ensure projects are completed on time. Ensure financial budgets are followed. Research and purchase new manufacturing technology. Assist production.
