This position processes requests from agents and policyholders, and processes renewals and endorsements within a designated authority level.Essential functions:Responding to routine inquiries from agents and policyholders regarding quotes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and other inquiriesCompleting all assigned pre-renewals within a designated timeline prior to policy expirationQuoting and/or issuing endorsements ensuring accuracy of changesEvaluating renewal data in accordance with established underwriting guidelines; considering profitability and appropriate loss ratio for underwriting territory, effectively pricing, and maintaining a suitable retention ratioQualifications:Two-year degree with a minimum 2+ years' experience as an Underwriting AssistantProficiency in reading and understanding policy forms and endorsementsIntermediate level proficiency in word processing, data entry, and spreadsheet application softwareAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesRewards:The ability to have a direct impact on the success of a small, but growing organizationOpportunities to grow and advance through our Personal Professional Development ProgramParticipation in a comprehensive health plan, flexible work schedule, remote work opportunities, Retirement Plan, and Profit Sharing Bonus program!
