Job Title: Avionics Software DeveloperLocation: Rockford, IL (Onsite)Work Authorization: US Persons preferred; all visas considered.Job Summary:Seeking an experienced Avionics Software Developer with expertise in ADA83/ADA95 programming and DO-178C verification for safety-critical embedded avionics software.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain embedded avionics software using ADA83/ADA95.Perform coding, debugging, integration, and optimization of real-time embedded systems.Execute DO-178C verification, requirements-based testing, unit/integration testing, and MC/DC structural coverage.Create test cases, reports, traceability matrices, and support certification audits.Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and ensure DO-178C compliance.Required Skills:6+ years in avionics or safety-critical embedded software.Strong ADA83/ADA95, Embedded C, and real-time systems experience.Hands-on DO-178B/C, requirements-based testing, and MC/DC coverage.Experience with LDRA, VectorCAST, RTRT/Cantata, DOORS.Familiarity with Lauterbach, GDB, Git/ClearCase/SVN, and avionics buses (ARINC 429, ARINC 664, MIL-STD-1553).Preferred:Experience with legacy ADA code, Collins Aerospace programs, and CI/CD in embedded environments.
