Network Engineer I

Role: Level 1 Network Engineer Location: 11 Metrotech Brooklyn, NY Duration: 12+ Months We are seeking an urgent hire for a Level 1 Engineer with expertise in network management tools. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tools like ExtraHop, NetScout, ScienceLogic, and SNMP protocols. This role is critical in ensuring network health, providing proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and support for various network operations. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain network health using network management tools such as ExtraHop, NetScout, ScienceLogic, and SNMP. Proactively identify and troubleshoot network issues and provide Level 1 support. Collaborate with Level 2/3 teams to escalate and resolve complex network incidents. Monitor and respond to network performance alerts and system issues. Conduct routine system health checks and performance monitoring. Generate reports on network performance and provide insights to improve operational efficiency. Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolution actions. Qualifications: Proven experience with network management tools: ExtraHop, NetScout, ScienceLogic, and SNMP. Basic understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation. Team player with a positive, proactive attitude. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in network management or relevant fields (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.) are a plus.
