Job Overview Software Development Engineer III – Amazon Advertising LLC, Boulder, Colorado (Job Number: AMZ9899639) Position Responsibilities: Drive the architecture and design of large‐scale, multi‐tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using object‐oriented design, distributed programming, Java, and C/C++. Gather business and functional requirements from external and/or internal customers and end‐users and translate them into technical specifications to build robust, scalable, and supportable solutions. Serve as technical lead throughout the full development lifecycle—scoping, planning, conception, design, implementation, testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance. Provide design reviews for other engineers, including feedback on architecture, integration, performance, and scalability. Manage resources across multiple technical projects, ensuring schedules, milestones, and priorities align with technology and business goals. Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8:00 am–5:00 pm. Requirements Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and at least one year of experience in the offered role (Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation). Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent with five years of progressive post‐baccalaureate experience may be considered equivalent to a Master's. Minimum one year of experience in: (a) providing technical leadership and project management throughout the software development lifecycle; and (b) designing and developing large‐scale, multi‐tiered, distributed applications using Object‐Oriented Design, distributed programming, and C#, C++, or Java.
